April 16, 2015 San Juan, Puerto Rico

We woke a little after 7am to an "Alpha, Alpha, Alpha" code being called over the PA. This is a medical emergency code. This is the third time we have heard an Alpha code called so far this cruise. Hope everyone is ok.

I went and got us some coffee and muffins. Wayne seems to feel a little better but he still has a cough. We will pick up some meds for him in San Juan today.

We had a relaxing morning reading on our balcony. I went up and picked up sandwich making at the buffet and brought it back to the cabin for lunch. More reading and then I headed up to watch sail in to San Juan while Wayne napped.

The ship docked around 3pm. I went back to the cabin and we got ready to get off the ship.

We headed off to the CVS for cold meds. While exiting the store we bumped into our Dartmouth friends. We walked with then for a while until we came to a Starbucks which they wanted to stop at for free wifi.

Our next stop was an art store. I was thinking I may like to buy some local art. I saw this and I love it so I bought it!

Next stop was to Barrachina's for a Pina Colada. This place is the birthplace of the Pina Colada and it was yummy.

Next we headed to a hat store. Wayne wanted to buy a Panama Hat.

Success! He found one he liked!

We walked around Old San Juan for a while.

Love the blue cobblestones!

We then decided it was time for a beer. Stopped at a great little bar. Wayne has on his new hat.

We had a few beers and a snack. It was dark when we left the bar. Walked back to the ship and we were back on board by 7:30pm and we leave at 10pm.

It was a great day in San Juan!

Tomorrow St. Maarten!
