Our alarm went off at 8am and Wayne went down and grabbed a couple of coffees and muffins. We packed and were ready to head to the ship!
Our shuttle was to be at the hotel by 10am so we went down to the lobby at 9:45am and it was there! The driver took our bags to his Lincoln Town Car - which is a much better way to travel to the ship than in a packed shuttle :) The ride to the port was about 15 minutes, dropped off our bags and headed in side the terminal. For the Quantum check in is different. There are people with tablets all over the building instead of having a check in counter. This worked really well. No line up to check in. You just look for someone with a tablet that is free. They check you in (photos were sent in as part of the check in that I did from home) and we headed to security. Then we were sent to wait in our boarding time section (ours was 11:15-11:45am). We waited until about 10:30 and they started boarding. We were on the ship before 11am!! Very easy check in!

Our first impression of the ship - it is BEAUTIFUL!!
Here are some photos

The view of NYC and the statue of Liberty from the ship

Our sail away drinks. These were the most expensive drinks we have ever had on a ship. With included tip - $30!!

First time we have seen bumper cars on a ship!

Around 1:30pm we stopped at Cafe 270 and had some lunch. Wayne had a grilled sandwich and I had one of their "Famous" roast beef sandwich. After the wonderful one I had the other day this one was tough and dry...
Then we headed off to explore some more.

Our Cabin - love the colours!

Our balcony. It is an obstructed view but really big!

View from our balcony as the ship left.

At 3pm we had the Muster drill. Our station is the Music Hall so no standing outside which was great. Easist drill ever - they show you a video and send you on your way.

The Music Hall

We were supposed to sail at 4pm but supplies were late so we didn't sail until after 5pm. We had reservation to see Momma Mia at 6pm so we missed sail away.

Around 5pm we grabbed a small slice of pizza since we wouldn't be eating until later. It was pretty good.

Momma Mia was great - long but great! We then headed to dinner at Silk the Asian Fusion restaurant.

Went for a walk around the ship after dinner and then called it a night. A busy first day on the ship!
